The Fracking threat to Sussex Water and Public Health - A Public Talk in Hove Weds 30th October featuring Ian R Crane

Wednesday 30th October 2013 7pm-10pm
All Saints Parish Hall, Eaton Road, Hove. BN3

TALK STARTS AT 7.30pm

'I have lived in Sussex my whole life and I have a deep love for our beautiful downland, woodland, meadowland and beaches. Over the last few months I have become extremely concerned about the threat of FRACKING in SUSSEX and the UK. As a mother I have felt it is my responsibility to take time to investigate this issue and try to find out more than just what we are being told by the mainstream media.

I have organised this event in order that you can also learn more about Fracking. Some friends from up the road in Balcombe will be there to talk about their experiences of the drilling by Cuadrilla and the protest camp over the summer and there will be a presentation by Ian R Crane with a Q&A to follow.

No organisation is paying for this event. I have hired the hall myself and am relying on all my friends telling their friends and telling their friends until hopefully we fill 200 seats. Please INVITE everyone you know locally!'

ABOUT IAN R CRANE and the talk:

Former oilfield executive Ian R Crane has engaged industry sources and independent researchers to lay the foundations for his investigations into fracking – mining of shale and coal seam gas. In “Fractured Future – It doesn’t have to be this way”, a nationwide speaking tour, Ian asks whether this ‘miracle’ of nature really will be the solution to our nation’s problems? Is it going to be the best thing for us since North Sea gas, or are there hidden dangers which could impact upon communities in ways which need open discussion?

'FRACKtured FUTURE' will provide an understanding of the Drilling & Fracking process along with an examination of the issues which have impacted upon communities in the USA, Canada and Australia as a result of the Shale Gas/Coal Bed Methane industry moving into the area. The UK Government is mounting a media campaign in an attempt to convince the population of the UK that there is NO RISK, yet also offers 'financial incentives' to communities embracing the intrusion of the gas companies. Ian presents irrefutable evidence from the US and Australia and encourages people to decide for themselves whether this is an appropriate industry for our densely populated island.

This event is FREE but with a suggested donation of £5 to help us cover the costs.
